Home to all I know birthplace

one bird faces the sea one

the city stories to be told

washed up on the tide

along the coast Elegia after dark

listen to the sound of the sea

watch ships navigate the bay

a solitary light enough

the pull to the water ferry ride

in January mist a one sided love

Wellington Column view a rebuilt Empire

green of suburbs past Everton to Lancashire

I remember the seven hills

this is not Rome this is Liverpool
